When will people get it? “Energy crisis supplants environment as top concern” (June 28 2008) The energy crisis is about the environment. When we burn oil and gas we cause climate heating and other forms of pollution. They are a “bad,” but also a “good,” a valuable, finite resource, a one-time gift of Nature. What we use up now not only causes environmental damage, but leaves future people without useful resource.

A carbon tax is a good tax. It will help us make desperately needed changes. Now if only future generations had the vote we could win this.
